Tengku Dato’ Sri Azmil Zahruddin

Yang Mulia Tengku Dato’ Sri Azmil Zahruddin is a Deputy Managing Director with Khazanah Nasional Berhad (Khazanah). He joined Khazanah as an Executive Director of Investments in October 2011. His main role is overseeing new investments and divestments in sectors within his portfolio. Prior to joining Khazanah, he was the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Malaysia Airlines. Before that, Azmil was the Chief Financial Officer and then Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Penerbangan Malaysia. He has also worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers in London and Hong Kong. He holds a first class degree in Economics from the University of Cambridge. He is a Chartered Accountant and an associate member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. He is also an Associate of the Association of Corporate Treasurers, United Kingdom.
